Gift of Hope

We want to make a terrarium for the bedside of every child with cancer.

Why? Because terrariums are eco-systems. They symbolise hope, resilience and the environment, and are safe for children with cancer who have low immunity. We want to show our care for every child with cancer, including those who are not well enough to join us for the Charity Run

If you are a staff and family member of NEA, MEWR, PUB or a Corporate Sponsor of our Charity Run, join us in making this Gift of Hope. Each person can make more than one terrarium; perhaps one for the children and one for your family. 500 of the terrariums will go to the beneficiaries of the Children's Cancer Foundation; the rest will be returned to you as a reminder of the good wishes we all made together for the children in their fight against the disease.

To add fun and challenge, we aim to make 1,500 terrariums and break the "Most Number of Terrariums Displayed at an Event" record. Join us as the Assessors from the Singapore Book of Records verify our record-breaking attempt!

Our sponsor Far East Flora has kindly arranged for terrarium materials and recyclable glass bottles to be available for those who qualify and wish to participate at only $15. They cost a lot more in the market. Each terrarium takes about half an hour to make.
